How Troops Wiped Out ISWAP Terrorists in Borno.

Joint operations between the ground and the air troops has led to killing of scores of the Islamic State for West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists. This was disclosed by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Sunday.
Military authorities have not yet confirmed killing of the notorious ISWAP Logistic Commander, Modu Sulum, a senior military officer who was involved in the joint operation said Sulum was also hit by the airstrikes.

UN Lauds Nigeria’s Leading Role in Securing Gulf of Guinea.

Kitack Lim, the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) said the country had made important contributions to the fight piracy and armed robbery in the Gulf of Guinea maritime domain, following the recent launch of the Integrated National Security and Waterways Protection Infrastructure, also called the Deep Blue Project. The United Nations (UN) has commended Nigeria for playing a leading role in efforts to secure the Gulf of Guinea, saying it will continue to support the country and the region.


Nigerian government to auction N150 billion bonds in June


On Friday, the Debt Management Office released a circular that stated that the Nigerian government will offer N150 billion bonds for subscription in June, the bonds comprised three bonds worth N50bn each, a circular said Friday.
DMO said the bonds will be auctioned on June 23 and all three have the same date for settlement.

Electric vehicles: Malami assures NADDC of policy support for mass production


On Friday while test-driving the first electric car assembled in Nigeria, Hyundai Kona EV, the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, Abubakar Malami SAN, assured the National Automotive Design and Development Agency, NADDC, of support in terms of policy towards mass production of electric vehicles in the country.
The car was presented to Malami by the NADDC Director-General, Jelani Aliyu, in Abuja, The car costs N24 million each, with 5 years battery and manufacturers warranty, 100 percent electric, zero-emission and Hassle-free charging at home and workplace.

Digital Innovation: NITDA Engaged Stakeholders on Policy Development.

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, has made second presentation of Nigeria Digital Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Startup Policy (NDIESP) to the public, particularly IT stakeholders, for further review and additional input. This is part of the efforts by the Federal Government to grow the nations economy through digital technologies,
This effort is in line with National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) for a digital Nigeria.
